Dry river

Where did all the water go !

The summer of 2018 will be remembered for a while ,just like the long hot summer of 76 .The River Bain is the shortest river in England at around 2 miles,it starts its journey from Semer Water then makes its way down past Bainbridge and runs into the Yore ,there is normally no shortage of water passing by our Mill but this year it completely ran dry for nearly 3 months ,the riverbed turned into a lovely walk ! Not so great for the fish but great for me as I could get places that no man had been before…well since the Romans anyway
